Communication
Continuity between home and the preschool is essential to providing a meaningful experience for your child and effective communication is key. Sonrise Christian Preschool uses the following communication methods.
Classroom Folders
Each child will have a folder that is sent home in the child’s tote weekly. It will contain artwork, projects, class calendars and preschool information. In addition, formal communications from the finance office and the preschool office will be placed in the file.
Notifications
Emergency texts and reminders of upcoming events will be sent through Brightwheel.
Assessments
Teachers assess the children three times a year. They will communicate the results with you through email, phone calls and conferences. If you have concerns about your child’s progress, please feel free to request and arrange a conference or phone call. If you call throughout the day, however, phone calls will not be transferred to the classrooms as staff are very busy taking care of your children. They will be given a message and will contact you as soon as they are able. Parents are required to attend at least one conference a year.
